MSS FRONT ADJUSTABLE KIT: Published in December 2015

Background

Our uniquely designed front adjustable kit for the Audi TT MK2 platform is aimed at regular track users. This kit was released in August 2014 and shipped to customers based in North America; Australia; Asia and Europe.

Issue

The kit reduces the factory ride height from -10mm to -40mm, suitable for track use. Customers who purchased this kit for a mixture of daily and track use may find the aggressive lowering not ideal for daily use on rougher roads.

Resolution

We have developed a Streets version which allows ride height to be adjusted from the factory standard height lowering to -30mm. These are therefore less aggressive lowering making them ideal for daily as well as regular track use.

As an existing purchaser of the first MSS Front Adjustable Kit, we are offering a FREE upgrade to the MSS Streets Front Adjustable Springs - these will still work with the MSS uniquely designed front adjusters and therefore those will not require changing.

To claim your FREE upgrade springs, simply send an email to info@msskits.com referencing this special announcement.

MSS FRONT ADJUSTABLE TOOL KIT: Published in October 2016

Background

Our uniquely designed front adjustable tool kit was released in August 2014 and shipped to customers based in North America; Australia; Asia and Europe. These were to assist with ride height adjustment on the front axle.

Issue

The tool kit comes in two parts which must be positioned correctly to enable height adjustment. Customers who received these tool kit found it ineffective and slower to use  compared to adjustment by hand.

Resolution

We have withdrawn the tool set based on customer feedback and are looking at an improved design. At the moment, there are a number of options we have explored and will continue to consider numerous other design options before settling on what should be a much easier to use tool set.

Our advice for now is to use a suitably heavy duty and secure spring compressor to take the load off the springs to enable height adjustment by hand. Once we have a new tool set or a solution in place, we plan to ship these out to all customers who have purchased our fully or front adjustable kits.

MSS REAR ADJUSTER STEM: Published in January 2017

Background

Our rear adjuster treaded stem (shown on the left to our spring seat in the image opposing) is 40mm in length, designed from the outset for VAG platforms. The design enabled us to offer up to 30mm ride height adjustment for each factory shock absorber on the rear axle since 2011.

In early 2015, we started testing a taller treaded rear adjuster stem to meet future vehicle platforms ride height requirements and also to bring our street / track kits in line specifically for ride raising capability.

Change

The test have proven successful allowing us to use a wider range of springs during product development and therefore shortens product development cycle. The key advantage here is the ability to raise the rear ride height beyond the 30mm tread showing advisory, with an increase to 50mm tread showing. We achieve this by increasing the treaded rear adjuster stem from 40mm up to 60mm. All other aspects of the design remains unchanged.

Benefit

The main benefit is that our advisory of ensuring the treaded part shown is 30mm is increased to 50mm tread showing. This advisory does not impact ride height lowering or ride quality and instead simply enables customers who purchase our track kits to raise their vehicles back up to stock height, particularly beneficial to customers with MSS Track Pack or MSS 'LS'. The raising of the ride height back to stock level for these track kits widens their scope of use on streets.

We start shipping these new adjusters with new kits purchased from 1st March 2017. Should you have any queries relating this, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us at  referencing this announcement.
